Each journal entry includes detailed records of accounts, amounts, and sides (debit or credit). Use the View button to access and manage these records inside a modal window.

Steps to View Journal Entry Details

  1. From the Data Table section in the sidebar, click Journal Table to view all your recorded entries.

  2. Use the Search Bar or scroll through the table to find the journal you want to view.

  3. In the Entries column, click View (or the total amount) to open the journal in a modal window.

  4. In the modal, you can view the entries associated with the journal and make updates where needed.

  5. At the top of the modal, you’ll see real-time totals:
    e.g., DR: ₦6,000.00 | CR: ₦6,000.00 – Balanced

    • If the journal is unbalanced, a warning will appear, and the Save button will be disabled.

    • A note in the modal reminds you: “Debit and credit amounts MUST be equal. Journal items won’t update until both sides are balanced.”
