Adam, your AI-powered accountant, lets you create detailed journal entries by just typing what you want in plain language, no complex forms or accounting jargon required.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Click the “Add Data” Button

    • Navigate to the Journal Table.

    • At the top right corner, click on the “Add Data” button.

    • This opens a modal designed for entering journal entries using natural language.

  2. Type your Prompt

    • In the modal’s prompt box, describe the journal entry you want to create in your own words.

    • Example prompt:
      “Create a journal entry on May 1st this year for ₦200,000 payment to vendor ABC with description ‘Office supplies purchase’.”

    • Be as detailed or specific as you need. Adam understands a wide range of instructions, including dates, amounts, contacts, and descriptions.

  3. Click “Send”

    • Once you finish typing your prompt, click the “Send” button.

    • Adam will process your instructions, interpret the request, and automatically create the correct journal entry with all relevant details.

  4. View your new Journal Entry

    • After processing, your new journal entry will instantly appear in the Journal Table, showing the date, amount, contact, title, and other details as specified.
