If you're migrating your records from another system or logging bulk transactions, Adam, your AI accountant, can help you upload multiple journal entries in one go. Whether your file is in an image, Excel, CSV, or even PDF format, Adam will analyze it and populate the Journal Table for you automatically.
Step-by-Step Guide
Prepare your File
Before uploading, ensure your file includes all necessary details such as the journal entry dates and other relevant details.
Your file can be in an Image, PDF, Excel (.xlsx/.xls), or CSV format. Make sure it’s organized, either in tables or bullet/list formats that are easy to interpret.
Open the Prompt Area
Navigate to the Journal Table.
Click the “Add Data” button at the top right to open the prompt input modal.
Attach your File
In the prompt modal, click the attach icon next to the message box.
Select the file from your device that contains the journal data.
Write a Short Instruction
In the prompt box, type a simple instruction to help Adam understand your request.
Example:
“Please upload these journal entries into the Journal Table.”
This ensures Adam knows what to do with the file.
Observe Upload Limits
For optimal performance:Send up to 20,000 characters per file (approximately 150 account entries).
For PDFs, limit to 10 pages per upload.
If your file is too large, split it into smaller chunks and upload them one after the other.
Let Adam Process the Upload
Click Send to start.
Important: Do not refresh or close the page while the file is being processed. It may take a few minutes, depending on the file size.
Review the Results
Once the upload is complete, your journal entries will appear in the Journal Table.
Double-check each entry for accuracy. You can edit or delete any line manually if needed.
