If you’re switching from QuickBooks to Adam and want to carry over your historical data, Adam allows you to import all relevant records at signup.
Note: You must sign up on Adam using your QuickBooks account to access the migration option.
Steps to Migrate Your Data
Sign Up via QuickBooks
Follow the instructions in the previous section to sign up on Adam using your QuickBooks login.Choose the “Migrate Data” Option
During the setup process, when prompted, select the “Migrate Data” option.What Happens Next?
Adam will automatically pull all your trial balances from QuickBooks, from inception up to the date you commenced the migration, to complete your setup.
For example, if on March 31, 2025, you select the "Migrate Data" option, Adam will import all trial balances recorded in QuickBooks from inception up to that date (March 31, 2025).
These records will be posted as opening journal entries in your Adam account.
This import happens once.
After migration, all future records will be handled exclusively inside Adam. QuickBooks will not be updated going forward.

Teams that want to preserve historical records but do all new accounting on Adam going forward.
What Data is migrated from QuickBooks?
Adam pulls in a structured set of data from QuickBooks just once, and all future records will be handled exclusively inside Adam. These include:
